2020 Annual Meeting Update


Saturday, February 1st, 2020 3:15 pm – 5:00 pm

Greer Library: 505 Pennsylvania Ave ( adjacent to Greer Post Office)

The meeting will be conducted in the Davenport Meeting room at the Greer Library, 505 Pennsylvania Ave on 2/1/2020 @3:00 – 5 pm.

Bottled water is ok but food will not be allowed.

After the meeting, for those interested, library staff would like to talk about the recent renovation and services offered by the library.

2020 Annual Association Meeting

The 2020 Annual Homeowners Association Meeting date will be announced by January 2020.

The Board of Directors encourage interested homeowners to consider volunteering. Homeowners should also understand it’s everyone’s responsibility to participate in the governing of our HOA in some capacity. Prior experience is good but not required. Communities are stronger when everyone understands how HOAs function, their purpose and the unfairness to community and individuals when the same people volunteer year after year. Besides board positions there are committees such as ARC, Beautification, Communications and Welcoming available. The Architectural Review Committee should consist of odd numbers of members in order to avoid a tie with decisions.

For those who complain about the way things are run, now is the time for your contribution. Board members are required to meet at least once each quarter. To support and assist new volunteers we will be returning to full property management with a premier CAI certified property management company.

Heather Hills Homeowners Association welcomes all new homeowners and reminds everyone we continue to be a desirable location while maintaining strong property values.

Ballot Results: Solar Energy Panels

Results for amending Heather Hills Declaration of Protective Covenants.

On June 10th, 2019 a letter to all homeowners of Heather Hills Homeowners Association was mailed with a BALLOT to fill out and return within (15) days regarding the amending of our Declaration, Section 6 (c) xxviii: Energy Conservation Equipment.

Per our Declaration, its provisions may be amended ” upon the affirmative vote or written consent, or any combination thereof, of Owners of at least two-thirds (2/3) of the Lots.” Since the Heather Hills Community contains 51 Lots, amending the Declaration will require an affirmative vote or written consent of 34 Owners.

Voting Results: A total of fourteen (14) ballots were received; (11) members were in favor of amending the Declaration, one (1) forgot to indicate their choice and (2) were not in favor. There will be no changes to the Architectural Standards as written in our Heather Hills Declaration of Protective Covenants.

All ballots will be held for (60) days for inspection by HOA Members. Inspection time and dates will be at the discretion of the Board of Directors. Board member email addresses may be located on this website.

2019 Board of Directors

The Annual Homeowners meeting for 2019 was on Feb 16th but when a quorum was not achieved it was rescheduled for March 9th. On that day four homeowners showed up, still not enough for a quorum, the meeting was cancelled. After consulting with our property management the board was advised to continue with the same officers until 2020. Next year’s Annual meeting will proceed with the normal process of electing new officers.

The board is composed of three volunteer positions: President, Secretary and Treasurer, each serving one(1) three year term. All interested members are incouraged to run for office. Inexperienced people need not worry, you are not expected to know what to do which is why literature and other board members are there to help. Although it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, the experience is valuable to both the individual and the community. There are other volunteer positions available too such as the committees: ARC, Beautification, Communications and Welcoming. Annual Meeting Rescheduled

Unable to establish a quorum, we have had to reschedule our Annual meeting this year. The meeting location has also changed due to restructuring of the last location. If you are unable to attend please be sure to mail in your PROXY prior to March 2nd, 2019. The Annual Meeting Notice sent out by our property manager will have all the information you need in advance.

The new location is just as close as the old so we hope there’s no inconvenience and will see you there.

2019 Covenant Changes

After a review of our Covenant in 2018 the Board of Directors made some changes to the Use Restrictions and Rules. The ARC Committee will be enforcing these new rules after proper notification. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our Covenant and review the new resolution in our document section and contact the Board or Committee if you have any questions. Thank you all for making our community a wonderful place to live and may 2019 bring you joy and prosperity.

Volunteer 2019 !

If you are interested in participating as a volunteer in our community look no further. Positions are available each year whether it be on the Board or a Committee. New Board Officers will be voted on during our Annual Meeting however committee members can join anytime. The different committees are: ARC, Beautification, Communications and Welcoming.

Cars blocking Entrance

Safety is everyone’s concern.

When picking your child up at the bus stop after school please be sure you’re not blocking our community entrance. Parking on the side of the road to close to the entrance is interfering with traffic entering and exiting our community. Thank you for your cooperation.
